Who can belong?
The Union Credit Union was created in 1968 by members of Bricklayers Local 3, union members just like you. Today, members from any union can belong and bank at The Union Credit Union. So can their family members, union employers and the unions themselves. You belong here. You'll benefit from better rates, loans and services from our all-union staff.
Why Switch?
Understanding – You can skip your loan payments during difficult times. Get a Step-Up Loan* for tools, job training or college. We even handle payroll for union shops. Let our unionized staff work for you, like we've worked for other union members for generations.
Solidarity – Why help big corporate banks get even bigger when you can help your union brothers and sisters instead? When you save at The Union Credit Union, your money goes back out as loans to other union members at better rates.
Convenience – We've created easier applications for workers with multiple employers. Unlike banks, we've partnered with other credit unions to give you thousands of no-charge ATMs and branches nationwide where you can access your money. It's called shared branching.
How to belong
- Complete our simple switch kit online or in person
- $25 deposit
- We do the rest!
* The Step-Up Program is provided with support of the National Credit Union Foundation via an Innovation Grant.
Staff
Unlike other financial institutions, The Union Credit Union is unionized. We have the only all-union staff and board of directors. We are your wall-to-wall union credit union.
